These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Africa Re at 50 website, mobile app, and related on-site services (together, the "Africa Re at 50 Services"). They form a binding agreement between you and African Reinsurance Corporation ("Africa Re", "we", "us").

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Africa Re at 50 Services. For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

By creating an account, registering for the anniversary, installing the mobile app, or otherwise using the Africa Re at 50 Services, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

These Terms apply alongside any additional rules we publish for specific features (for example, registration forms or on-site guidelines). If there is a conflict, the feature-specific rules prevail for that feature, while these Terms govern everything else.

To use the Africa Re at 50 Services you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you.

Access to the mobile app and on-site facilities requires a valid Africa Re at 50 guest registration that has been approved by the organisers. We may decline or revoke registration where eligibility cannot be confirmed, where required information is missing, or where access would conflict with applicable law or event policy.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register, and to keep it up to date. Inaccurate information may delay accreditation or visa support.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately at support@africa-re.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.

One account per person. Sharing accounts, transferring accreditation, or using another guest's credentials is not permitted.

There is no charge to register for the anniversary. You register by submitting the required details, and your place is confirmed once the organisers approve your registration. We may decline or revoke a registration as described in Section 02.

Once your registration is approved, we send a confirmation by email together with your guest pass. If you do not receive it within 24 hours, contact support@africa-re.com.

The mobile app gives approved guests access to their guest pass, the official programme, networking features, and on-site logistics. We grant you a personal, limited, and revocable right to use the app for these purposes during the anniversary.

Your QR code is personal to you and not transferable. It is used to verify your identity at checkpoints and sessions. Sharing, copying, or attempting to reuse another guest's QR code may result in denial of access and account suspension.

Some features (such as messaging, sessions, or shuttles) depend on network availability, the timing of your registration, and on-site capacity. We may add, change, or remove features at any time to keep the event safe and running smoothly.

All content provided through the Africa Re at 50 Services — including the name, logo, branding, copy, design, photography, video, software, and underlying code — is owned by African Reinsurance Corporation or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use this content for your personal, event-related use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Africa Re at 50 Services without our prior written permission.

You may submit content through the Africa Re at 50 Services — for example, your profile photo, biography, LinkedIn URL, messages, or feedback. You retain ownership of the content you submit.

By submitting content, you grant Africa Re a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and use that content within the Africa Re at 50 Services and for the duration of the programme, so we can deliver the features you use (for example, showing your profile in the guest directory or relaying a message you sent). You confirm that you have the right to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe any third-party rights.

We may remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms or the prohibited-conduct rules below.

When using the Africa Re at 50 Services, you agree not to:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the website, mobile app, or any underlying system;
• scrape, crawl, or otherwise harvest data from the guest directory, programme, or any other part of the services;
• impersonate another person or organisation, or register with false information;
• harass, threaten, or intimidate other guests, staff, or partners, on the app or on-site;
• use contacts, email addresses, or other guest details obtained through the services for commercial outreach or unsolicited marketing;
• interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the services, or with any other guest's use of them.

We may warn, suspend, or remove accounts that breach these rules, and refer serious matters to the relevant authorities.

To deliver the Africa Re at 50 Services we rely on a small number of trusted providers:

Amazon Web Services (AWS SES)

Transactional and notification email delivery.

Firebase

Mobile push notifications and supporting infrastructure.

These providers operate under written data processing agreements. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is shared and safeguarded.

The Africa Re at 50 Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do our best to keep them accurate, secure, and available, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, conditions, and representations relating to the services. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Africa Re, its affiliates, and its staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Africa Re at 50 Services.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Africa Re at 50 Services is capped at USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

We may update these Terms as the anniversary approaches or as the services evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and notify you by email at the address on your account.

Your continued use of the Africa Re at 50 Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the services and contact us so we can help close your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Africa Re at 50 Services.

If you use the services as a consumer in another country, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms removes those protections.
